What we collect, and what we don't

If you just read the site

There are no cookies, no tracking pixels, no advertising tags, and no analytics JavaScript of any kind. That is why you have not been asked to accept anything — there is nothing stored on your device to consent to.

We do measure traffic, and it is worth being exact about how. Our host, Netlify, produces the request logs any web server produces, and Netlify Analytics summarises them for us: how many times a page was viewed, which pages, which sites linked here, and which URLs returned errors.

That happens entirely on Netlify's servers from logs they already hold. Nothing runs in your browser, nothing is stored on your device, and there is no identifier following you between pages, sites or visits. We see totals, not people. If you use an ad blocker it makes no difference either way — there is no script for it to block.

Fonts are served by Google Fonts, so loading a page makes a request to Google's servers, which will see your IP address as a consequence. It is the only third-party request the site makes. If we self-host the fonts later, this paragraph goes away.

If you request a demo

The form collects your name, company, work email, optionally a phone number, how many furnaces are in scope, whether you are Nadcap accredited, and whatever you type in the notes field.

We use it to reply to you and to prepare a demo. Specifically:

• Submissions are processed and stored by Netlify Forms, and emailed to us.
• We will contact you about your enquiry.
• You will not be added to a mailing list, entered into an automated sequence, retargeted, or passed to anyone else. We do not sell or share it.
• The form also records which page you submitted it from, so we know whether an enquiry came from the compliance page or somewhere else. It is a fixed value written into the page when the site is built — not a cookie, and not a trail of where you went.
• A hidden anti-spam field exists in the form. Leave it empty — only automated submitters fill it in.

We keep enquiries while there is a live conversation and for a reasonable period afterwards. Ask us to delete yours and we will, without asking why.

If you become a customer

Different situation, and it is governed by the agreement between us rather than by this page. Two commitments worth stating anyway, because they are design decisions rather than promises: the data you put into HeatLock isyours and exportable in full, on demand, and evidence records — pyrometry, load actuals, issued certificates — are stored so they can be reproduced as of a past date, because that is what an audit requires.

We do not publish customer names without written permission. That is not a privacy nicety in this industry; who you work for is commercially sensitive.

Your rights

Ask what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask for corrections, or ask us to delete it. Depending on where you live you may have these rights by law; you have them here regardless.

Changes

If we change how enquiries are handled, switch analytics, or self-host the fonts, this page is updated in the same change rather than afterwards. It said "no analytics" until Netlify Analytics was switched on, and moved in the same commit. The date at the top is the honest indicator of when it was last true.
